Our goal is to share smiles to children fighting cancer and their families. We do this through visits, care packages, toys, and more. Everything is personalized to each individual child.
We support the pediatric cancer research fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering, MSK has the largest pediatric program in the country. Discoveries made at MSK become the standard of care at other hospitals all across the world. Donations fund innovative, safer, and more effective treatments for children fighting cancer. Only 4% of the national cancer institute's budget is given to pediatric cancer research. Despite being underfunded, about 47 children a day are diagnosed with cancer in the United States alone, and it is estimated that 7 children die every day from cancer in the United States. About 400,000 children around the world are diagnosed with cancer every year. Due to current treatment, 2 out of 3 survivors develop at least one chronic health condition and risk of secondary cancers. Research not only saves lives, but allows better treatments to be discovered. Help us do better for our kids.
About me!
My name is Molly Eisenberg. I started fundraising for childhood cancer, specifically childhood cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering, when I was 11 years old after a doctor thought I might have cancer. Thankfully I was okay, but this opened my eyes to the reality so many kids have to face everyday. I started Fight4Smiles during my senior year of high school as I wanted to get more involved and make more connections. I love these kids with all my heart and I want to do everything in my power to help them and make a difference. I am currently a medical student and I hope to be a pediatric oncologist in the future.
